Our Design Philosophy
At William Design, we have a classic approach to design and always aim to create spaces that stay current even as they age. Whether the style is traditional or ultra-contemporary, we believe that good and thoughtful design is time-less and just as breath-taking today as it was 50 or 200 years ago.
That is why, our ethos is simple: creating an experience that is unique to our client’s style, our own signature style and is beyond the ordinary. We do this by focusing on the narrative of our project rather than borrowed concepts that might not be applicable, to create a reflection of the context through a visual, tactile and sensible experience of your surrounding.

How would you describe your signature style?
The answer is simple: We don’t limit ourselves in one particular style or era, but our designs are always unique. Whether we are designing west-indies inspired beach home, an English cottage interior or a contemporary luxe penthouse remodel, our aim is the same: to maintain a timeless and elevated look that makes us stand apart from the competition and that can grow organically with our clients over time.
Our signature style is timeless modern classic, reinterpreting concepts that have been present for hundreds of years into modern-day forms that suite current life patterns. We stay current with fashions in design, but believe in the power of knowing the past, as a key to unlocking innovative ideas for the spaces of the future. By studying the surrounding environment and the context, we are able to merge it’s history with the present brief to create a unique concept for each one of our projects.
We are always striving to pay homage to and redefine historical themes into contemporary interpretations. Our motto is that you have to know the rules to break them, and breaking the rules is something we certainly enjoy doing!
What inspires your designs?
Our designs are fueled by the many beautiful places we’ve experienced through our travels around the globe, as well as the people we’ve met along the way along with their stories. From elaborate details of the Chateau de Versailles, to nature-inspired a-frame silhouettes of suburban Scandinavia, to dutch parapet silhouettes of Amsterdam and silk-like sand of the Sahara desert, we are always searching for authentic character to incorporate into our details and influence our studio work. We also draw inspiration from so many visual things that naturally occur around us in nature, such as patterns, colors and organic textures.
